Luckily I bought this Mac off of my uncle so I didn't have to pay a crap ton of moneyThey`re the same quality, the roxio is cheaper by over 20$, it also has better software.
I don`t want to start a debate but I wouldn`t say macs are non-crappy. But I`m anti Apple products. macs are overpriced anyway... they don`t deserve products..
Elgato gave me it for free for a review, it was when it first came out and they wern`t so big
I needed something new so I just bought it off him for a very good price. I find the Elgato software easier to understand as everything on it is simple and there's no delay when you press record. I used to have the Roxio (the old crappy one) and it used to take 10 seconds before it would start recording! Then again, that was because of my laptop haha
Well once you record something, it's saved onto your computer. You'll be able to change the destination of where the video will end up so I put mine on the desktop so I don't have to go searching for it. Also, yes you can copy your video and put it into a USB stick or an external hard drive and put it onto another computer
You record with the roxio (press the record button), when its done its save to your computers harddrive, then you can open it in the Roxio`s editing software which has lots of options including adding a voice-over/commentary.
