Promoted Tweets

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if any of yee have tried using ads on Twitter? I was looking into it the other day (not for my personal account, but for another that I run) and one of the ways you can promote is by promoting a tweet, but you don't pay unless the person who sees it follows you. Basically if they click the link to your video but don't follow you afterwards, you don't pay (I think).

Also, you can choose to target the followers of anybody that you want in certain locations. I put in about 30 big YouTubers that I like, who between them they had a reach of 8.5 million people in the UK and America.

Has anybody tried promoted tweets before? I was thinking of using a fiver on it to test it out with my YT, but that could buy a pizza and to be honest I think I'd rather the pizza...

You only pay when users follow your account or retweet, favorite, reply, or click on your Promoted Tweet according to twitter. The picture is from ads.twitter.com

I think any of these social media giants are terrible for advertising your creative endeavours. I think smaller independent websites are the go. Small advertising networks who target your audience.
