'Promote' a video on YouTube

Hey guys,
I was wondering what everyone thinks about the promote function on youtube?
I'm thinking of doing it for my latest video because its short enough and it has my channel links and things in the video itself. Plus its one of the best quality edited videos I've done :giggle:

I was hoping anyone could tell me if its worth promoting or not?
Because it does cost money!

Is that the thing where you pay for the to advertise it. I did it once, paid£10 got about 200 views and nothing else. I won't be bothering again

That's up to the people watching the video. If they liked it, they'll sub.

Paying, if I understand correctly, is like making your video "Featured" on the side bar full of videos on the side of the current video.
