Hello! I make a profile picture and its pretty good quality, the problem is everything I upload it the quality is SO bad. Please Help! I'll send you the picture if you ask for it!

i keep my photos pretty large, so even if it gets downsized it retains quality, that may be the issue.

I've tried a bunch of different sizes, from 500px x 500px to 1000. I don't know what to do ahh

My advice as a designer is know what social media outlet you're making it for, and find out the right size for that. For example, Youtube I know to use an 800px x 800px, Google+ (which links with Youtube, so it's odd) is 250px x 250px, Twitter is 400px x 400px, etc. I believe all of these you can find with a simple google search, and you might have to make different sizes of the avatar to accommodate for all of them. Edit: A great way to make a logo that works well all around is create a vector image using a program such as Adobe Illustrator.
