so, whenever i try to upload a game with my mic sound in it as well, i get this horrible feedback, i uploaded a video as an example with the details, can anyone help me?

it wont let me post the link to the video for some reason? but the video is on my channel

Ok can you detail how all your cables are hooked up for me? Your Xbox is hooked up to the Elgato by HDMI, which outputs to your TV/monitor by HDMI, right? Then the pink jack on your headset is in the mic jack on your computer. How do you get game sounds into your headset?[DOUBLEPOST=1367377038,1367376975][/DOUBLEPOST]Ah totally missed the optical cable

ok I get audio and video to monitor by hdmi I have a wired control my headset is plugged into the controller to get voice chat. usb to dss surround sound. optical cable from xbox to dss suround sound. headset green cable into dss surround sound. and then the piink cable into the front mic jack of my computer, but I have tried the back jack as well and still get the feed back.

So if you unplug either the pink cable or the green cable there's no feedback? If so, you can try the following, though it's a little far fetched. I'm assuming you have the USB from your headset plugged into your 360 (if it's hooked up to your computer, that's probably the problem, two inputs). Instead of using the pink mic in into your computer, leave that unplugged and plug the USB from your headset into your comp. It'll still work as an audio input for your voice.

ok I unplugged the pink cable and plugged the usb directly into computer but it is not registering as a mic. do I need drivers maybe?

No, you just need to go to Control Panel > Sounds and set the USB device as your Default Device instead of your Speakers OR you can just select the input device through the Elgato software. I've done it both ways with Elgato Game Capture HD and a pair of wireless Skull Candy PLYR2's.

Other possibility is that your mic is catching feedback if you have computer speakers on because Elgato will output game sound both through HDMI and it's capture software on your PC (but delayed by 1-2 secs).

You can hear what it sounds like on my channel, and there's still these very small annoying static pops, but I hear it on your mic as well so could be the Elgato.

hey I've been doing alot to try and figure this out installed new audio drivers, gave my computer its own wall plug, try many different cable configs. sound got worse, a little better worse again, but I think I am making progress kind of, the buzzing is gone now I dont hear it on my recordings and my friends on xblk dont hear it in their headsets, it used to be one or the other, but know I dont hear my voice on my recordings.

I've been messing with my settings I noticed I dont have a mic when I open the little speaker on the task bar (win 7) when I open the sound recording and turned the levels all the way down I could still hear the mic on my computer even if listen to this device was unchecked.
I opened realtek hd audio manager I think this is the audio drivers I just installed from the pc makers website, and found that what was causing all the feedback was playback volume. so I muted it and the bad sound went away. But I couldn't hear my mic even in recorded videos anymore.[DOUBLEPOST=1367389031,1367388357][/DOUBLEPOST]I tried but I didn't see and usb devices there. but I think I just fixed it testing it out now. I'll let you know.[DOUBLEPOST=1367393521][/DOUBLEPOST]yeah it is working perfectly now thanks for helping.

No problem, what did you do to fix the issue you were having? Unmute the mic?
