I absolutely agree, I always thought MCNs are a joke; "royalty free music"? REALLY?! YT offers a catalog of sounds and you can find tons and tons online. Higher CPMs? Right! Like they can control the ad market; I've read the woes and cries of many MCN partnered users about this, oh and support; what support? automated responses? KB ripped off YT in general? you need support just Google it; go on this forum; I think in general there is no value to what MCN's have to offer that is comparable to the earnings hit you have to take.
I feel bad for smaller channels lured by the MCN's ads, that person who hits up your inbox with an exclusive invite; even big YT players had beef with MCN's that you can read tons of things about which made me skeptical about it from day one. I was in a few YT seminars (Google Hangouts hosted for helping YT creators) and what they had to say about MCN's was not nice; it's like wanting a tax on your earnings for little or nothing.

Some networks like Quiz Group are the only places where people can monetize "their" content, like: (UCsvpV4CzDixq3LL3uWCKvQw) massages (outsidervideo123) massages and Asian TV stuff, TV football (UCQ8teRDg67faTu56c2l_IYA), (CR7HDTV1), (UCZbcjrJgt93EaKQ54fECHaA) or "compilation" (UCc34puv2B8dTn25POI2zFgw). Without those networks they wouldn't exist.
