Problem with Facebook. Getting Subs.

There is. Its called your content. If you keep making better content then you might just get some people to make an account. Then that way you know they are going to stay active and want to subscribe. Otherwise you shouldn't really expect too much from it.

I know content is king, i just want to cover all bases from the start to make sure i don't miss any opportunities on getting them on board in the future. any other social media platforms that work for a gaming channels?

Well Twitter and basically any other social site (Google+, Tumblr, etc.). I just use Facebook and Twitter for fan pages really. Which is basically what every YouTuber does. You can add other things like your Steam, PSN or XBL accounts if you want... I mean if you have a fan page for your YouTube account then you can share it on the page that has a lot of likes. Then connect it to your YouTube account so that when you upload videos and stuff people will be able to watch it and decide whether or not they want to subscribe.

Also why are you asking when you have 360 subs?

First of all, YouTube and Facebook are two completely different websites and it can be hard to get people to move from one to another. If someone is on Facebook, they might see a video of yours and watch it (which is great! And does count for views, by the way) but actually switching over to YouTube and creating an account just to subscribe to you is a lot to ask unfortunately. Think about it from their perspective, if they already Liked your fanpage and you post all your videos there, then what's the point in making a YouTube account? It's not necessarily a bad thing. As long as they are watching your videos and interacting with you, that's all that matters. The subscriber count is just a number.

You caught me...

most of those honestly are from sub4sub which don't produce anything for my channel. That was back then when i wasn't partnered and was very eager to move up. I'm not proud of it but whats done is done. When i did get partnered i wanted to go legit so here we are.

I get around 160 views/day which most of it is from facebook. My gaming niche is kinda small maybe that is just the problem.

Wow, that's actually cool that your Facebook fanapage is so active. Don't take that for granted. We have fans on our page (about 81 I think, which out of our 850 subscribers isn't a bad percentage) but it's like talking to a wall on there. Seriously, it's depressing. We hardly get any feedback or comments let alone views, so the fact that you have that activity is really cool.

Edit: but I understand your frustration on wanting to see activity on your actual channel. That kind of stinks.

Funny how my audience is reversed in platform from yours. I won't give up though! If i broke through on Facebook I can do it on youtube too. I have been doing this for more than 2 weeks now(2-3 vids a week) and i guess its too early of a sample to measure my progress. Thanks for the advice guys!

my personal opinion that your facebook fans are equal to your subs. I mean, it's still people that have access to your content on a regular basis. Sure, it's not a Youtube stat, but it probably shows in your views.

If anything, the subs will come in time.
