Pressured on Camera

FantasyGamerX

'Cause Grades.
So I'm thinking of opening a gaming channel and I've been making footage and testing it out. Normally when I play games, I'm really funny, my friends keep telling me I should record. But when I record I'm not the same, I'm not funny or much of anything, I can't think of any good jokes to say. This happens with my regular channel. My funniest moments are the ones I thought of before, not the improv ones. :/
Anyone have any tips?

I wouldn't rely on improv.

You should always have something to say if you're making gameplay videos. Playing with friends makes it easier because your interaction with them will be interesting too.

This is why i always keep a notebook or phone with me to jot down stuff i find funny or stuff I want to use in my videos. That way I'll never run out of content or stuff to say.

I have a notebook, too! We should sub each other! (reference to other thread...)
But the problem with scripting gameplay is you don't know what's going to happen, I could die or I could live, I could get to level 4 or level 10...

i think the idea setting up camera and push the record and let it stay there for a long time works. as you would just play game feel pressured and later forget about it. think of it as noone is really watching it right now its not on youtube you still have to edit it so noone sees it. theres no point to be nervous or anything.

It's not really nervous it's more, creative block. I can't think of anything witty, clever, or funny to say :(

I'm not talking about referencing to the gameplay. Of course you have to make instant reactions to your game, but you should have other stuff to talk about, maybe your life or other stuff that you find interesting.

I'll sub you when I get home =P

hmm maybe you should do it with your friends then? seems like being in company opens your creative mind.

Oh I see what you mean. Like the video I'm editing right now, kinda sort relates to what you say. Doing something but talking about something else. Got it! (not giving anything away... ;) )[DOUBLEPOST=1372598801,1372598763][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah, I plan on having a lot of collabs with my friends and people here on YTTalk. But ALL my videos can't be collabs can they?

you already have 2 channels and now you are planning a third one
won't that require too much time out of your life? but still if you feel that you can be funny and make good game videos go for it.
TIPS: try to be like this guy iTwe4kz . check his cat mario series
