Posting Links In description

I Love YTtalk
If I am creating a video where I reference an article I read or a cool App to check out. Am I allowed to post links in the description so people can easily go the source? Is that considered Spam? It's my understanding that links in the description shouldn't be used to earn money or anything promotional.
 
As long as ur links are related to ur profiles like fb, twitter, vines etc. Ya cool apps and websites u can pist, it helps audience. Should be ok. I'm not sure abt rest :)

If I make a video about Video Cameras, Then I am allowed to post a link in the description to an article about Cameras?
 
If you're citing or referencing an article or something, I'd say it's actually recommended that you include those links, in case your audience finds it interesting and wants to read more about it.
