Hey all, we use an elgato game capture hd for our videos, it largely works very well. However, we just had our first snafu, and due to life, we can't simply re record right now.
We have a video that was split (automatically for time) and the 2nd video works just fine. But the first video is very strange, it shows the correct file size (about 4 GB) but for length it says 00:00:00 and we cannot rewind, fast forward the video at all. But the clip will still play!! If we try to load it into our video editor the program crashes. Same with Any Video Converter.
Current plan is to capture the PC and just let the video play, but now there are issues with the sound recording. From those tests the video quality looked fine, very worried about sound quality. Will be able to give it another go tomorrow, but it is rather late here right now.
Ultimately, is there a way to get the original file working correctly?
