All the music will be legal and free and will have no copyright. I know a couple of people who produce free music with no copyright and I will ask them for written permision.

I hear you on that ... I have a forum (Geek Central) and I wanted geekcentral.com (someone owns it, wants something around $8,000 for it ... um no thanks). Then I tried geek-central.com and some guy is sitting on *that* with just an open directory structure and no content (lame!). Take a guess what I got stuck with? (I won't post it since I don't want people to think I'm promoting or something.)

Yeah I know ... I had a huge spam-bot attack 2-3 months ago and it scared off the few folks I got and now no one wants to come back (even though I finally fixed the problem). Ok I'll stop derailing this topic now.

I don't think it is a horrible idea i would not expect the channel to grow that quickly because there is not too much demand.Have you thought about offering something else on the channel also?

I like metal and rock and its hard to find good royalty/copywrite free music in those genres. I've found some good stuff in YouTube Editor, but sometimes I've found stuff posted on youtube by the same artists that I couldn't find there. I should find a good one to subscribe to. Start a channel with those genres and I'll sub.
