Hey there everybody

VERY new to the forum so thought the best thing I could do is Introduce my self and put my channel up to your own opinions.

http://www.youtube.com/DeanoSauruzRex is my channel, please feel free to constructively criticise and poke holes where ever you feel necessary, I would love to better the appearance, appeal and I guess myself if needed.

Thankyou everybody and I look forward to meeting new people

Just some quick tips:

- Add information about your content and upload schedule into the banner.
- Create a channel trailer that shows people the best of the best with honours sir of your channel variety.
- Add more of your branding into the thumbnails.
- The first words of the About section show up in search results. Make them more catchy.
- Use a catchy phrase that makes people really click your annotated video in the end card.

It would be great if you returned the favour by stepping into my own review request: http://yttalk.com/threads/review-of-my-pet-channel-review-video.183941/

Hey Ray thanks so much for all these pointers.
I cant believe I haven't made my schedule more public on banner!! Absolutely on that tonight. Currently in the process of editing a best bits as a channel trailer :)
How do you mean branding? Could you give me some examples please.

Ill have a ganders at your channel after work tonight :) thankyou once again

Branding means having logo, banner, thumbnail, intro and end card follow the same design. The goal is that somebody who sees one of your thumbnails automatically recalls your channel.

I started with Intros and didn't like that approach my self however every video of mine contains an outro, my logo was for a very long time a yellow DS on the dark green background. Since changing, my audience has quite kindly taken to the character of my self as a mascot almost. Repetitive thumbnails to me show a lack of creativity and time spent, although I am beginning to adopt the character i use for my avatar as a thumbnail mascot, i absolutely will make sure that my list of videos do not blend in to one repetitive thumbnail style. It may work for alot of channels, but from my own perspective it shows a lack of time and creativity.

I am not talking about pure copy and paste but but following a certain style. This can of course be a logo but also font, colour scheme, ...
Each thumbnail still needs to be created individually to show the catchiest thing about the current video.

Absolutely agree, i do want to start using the mascot in each video. The YouTuber WeaselZone is a good example for this. I must admit there is a hell of alot of copy and paste channels out there, each to their own still of course regarding the art but you're correct also in creating art relevant to the videos core
