Please review my channel? :*

Hello, my name is Con and I'm wondering if anyone might be able to review my channel? It really would help me! Thanks.

PS: I have just returned from a month long adventure where there wasn't much technology (which is why I haven't uploaded in a couple of weeks). Now that I'm back, I will continue to upload.
 
Well, it looks as you need a better microphone so people can easily hear what you say, better illumination in the room or instead you could just edit the videos with a video editing software, to fix the illumination and other things. The intro is unique, but it could improve :) I noticed that most of your thumbnails are not even custom, and for that reason the channel isn't very professional, and not just this, people are less likely to click on your videos to watch them. Other than that, you still need more content to make a good channel ~ even my channel with 29 videos isn't big enough! :) You're doing well though, don't give up!

Is the costume thumbnail still something that is locked for newer users or has that changed? when i started it was locked but now it's unlocked but i am unsure if that is because of any of my channel stats or they just let everyone have it.

Thanks very much for such an honest review. I am getting a new mic within the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the tip about lighting, I just bought a new light box which should help :). All of my thumbnails are custom made but for some reason on some platforms in youtube they appear generic. If you look at the thumbnails from the youtube search engine, you can see the custom ones I created (if you know how I could fix this please let me know). In regards to my intro, is it because it's too basic? I aimed to keep it short and sweet.

It only is an option for YouTube partners, which isn't hard to achieve. :)
 
I think your video is rather good! you have so many things that most people don't. You add a hook before your intro, you have background music that is a good filler that is not too loud. You use cuts to keep people visually interested and you keep your videos short. I think you are doing everything right for the most part you might want to invest in a better mic and maybe a little lighting. The biggest thing is you need to upload consistently, skipping even a week can blow all your hard work. I keep going into cycles up uploading then taking a break then getting back on it and every time i need to build up momentum again.

P.S. Think about making a channel trailer that new users see when they check out your channel, you want to put your best foot forward.

Other than a good microphone and slightly better lightning I would say that your channel totally rocks! Love your videos, love the banner and avatar and the overall quality of your videos! Keep it up and you'll get there!
