Also, it says "Intel HD Graphics" so does that only apply if I plug in the monitor through the motherboard or even with the video card?

If you are going to buy the Haswell processors you will need to upgrade your mother board to LGA 1150 socket, and the processor you are looking for is something like I5-4570

Nope, but it makes everything a loooot quicker.
Also if budget allows upgrade the CPU to a newer generation if you can, I just tried to build something good for cheap. damn taxes, ended up being like 720 dollars for me :s
