I'm actually going to take my chances. A possible shout out is more than enough for me. I'm wondering if it'd be better to submit one asap (2 days) or later.
 
I'm not much of a PieDiePie fan, but man, that'd be hella good exposure. Arguably the best exposure, but I don't know his material well at all, so I'd probably just end up watching his videos for hours trying to find good moments and not really get anything done. Tempting, but I'll just spend my time working on my own videos and production quality.

But, if (so some stupid reason) he contacted me directly, I'd be all over that! lol
 
I can definitely understand why he's doing it but I think he's going around it in the wrong way. If he wants to hire a professional editor, then I think he'd be better off keeping it under the radar and just giving credit in the description where necessary and paying the person.[DOUBLEPOST=1411733589,1411732519][/DOUBLEPOST]

After a quick glance on the first page of that thread, 80% of the people replying can't even follow simple instructions of how PDP wants people to apply.
 
If he's paying for it and does a shoutout I'd say there's nothing morally wrong with it. And if viewers have a problem with how he runs his channel they can unsubscribe, right?

There are already a handful of submissions within the first few hours. I don't know how he'll be able to filter through them. There are so many that are so bad. I guess the first few days will be crap and by the end of the week the serious people will start to pop out.
I feel this is a good challenge for me to make a video and get noticed. This task is becoming more difficult than I initially thought though.
 
I don't really see a problem with it. I think it's fine. Sounds like he's engaging his fans. He's also willing to pay so it all seems fine and above board.
 
He knows how to work the system. It gets him a bunch more exposure without having to do anything. It will result in a lot of views while people find funny stuff to put in a montage. And people can just rip the footage via various download programs and then edit the footage as they wish.
