person at FullScreen network says I can never get sued if i join

Hello,

I was talking to FullScreen network to find out more about their Cover Song deal they have and as well as monetizing covers and parodies. The person that I talked to told me that I can never get sued if i join their FullScreen network because it would be the network that gets sued. Is there any truth to this or am I being told false information? There is also a copyright for derivative works which states that if I change the lyrics or change the melody of a cover song I need permission but FullScreen says they never heard of that when it's explained on the official copyright website of the US government

I don't know about the copyright thing, in fact I don't know many details at all about Fullscreen, only that i've had quite a few friends with Fullscreen and they didn't like it at all. They have all decided to unlink their channels, and it's been hellish for some of them to get disconnected. :/ I hope it works out for you though if you decide to link up with them!

Well depends on what the company or person suing wants to go after. They could go after fullscreen or you.
