People with Elgato Game Recorder?

If you are talking about turtle beach x12's that's what I use. I actually have the USB plugged into my computer instead of the xbox along with the line in (pink) cord. The green cord will connect to the adapter that comes with it to listen straight from the tv. If you use HDMI then it won't work and you will have to leave the tv volume either VERY low for you to hear or off..

Now, the problem with games and party chat is yes the games are very loud. Having the voice volume at 10 is good but the game volume part doesnt matter much because it only lowers the games volume when someone speaks.. Also, Make sure you have it set to play through BOTH the headset and speakers.

The only good work around is.. while you are in a game like Call of Duty for example. Hit start and go to the game options and change the audio settings IN the game. If you lower that then you can hear people in party chat just fine. Almost every game has changeable audio settings. The only ones I know that don't are Halo games.

Unfortunately you will have to do this with every game you play with friends.

Another option is having all your friends in Teamspeak (I think) and record all their voices that way so it is separate from the game volume. Or you can download something to record Skype if you and your friends would like to use that instead. Some of my friends however are not able to be near a computer and their xbox at the same time so those methods don't work well for me.

Hope this helps.

I play through both tv and headset with mine and i can hear everything on turtle beaches, the problem is that the game we have actually being playing a lot of is halo aswell.... :l when we played GTA i turned the game volume way down to nearly nothing but that didnt seem to do anything on the playback of the video.

And being on skype really isnt an option for the guys i play with, i do pc gaming so i have all tbe software. Its just theyre mot available to do it themselves :(
