People who make sketches

You may think you want my accent. You really don't
How long on average are your sketches? I just made one that's only about a minute long, but do you prefer to make longer ones with characters and dialogue, or quick 1-2 minute long ones that might just have a voiceover or something?
 
It Dosnt really matter how long they are, Just that there funny. But I know what you mean as soon as someone sees that a video is more than 3 mins long, They dnt bother watching it ... annoying I know! Depends what the sketch is. If its comedy then it depends on the joke. Is it a slow build up to the punch line or straight to the point? If its more drama or serious then maybe longer than 3 mins. Script shouldnt matter as sometimes silence creates a stronger and more meaningful atmosphere

I mostly promote my videos on here, Reddit, Twitter and Tumblr :)

I'm actually from Yorkshire, so I see lots of Brits on Youtube and feel like I'm in a completely different country :')
 
I agree with Bradders-Rou just make the best video possible and don't worry about the length. I always find the videos I think are going to be long end up being really short and vice versa lol
 
Yeah, I've been making all kinds over the years and as long as I'm happy then I just got with it although I wish I could keep my videos under three minutes but sometimes it's just impossible!
 
If they go on for more than four minutes, I'd say you have to question if it's really a sketch or if it's more of a short-film.
 
I like our sketches short and snappy. Our most recent ones have been around the 3 minute mark, with our longest being 5 minutes 30 :) As long as they deliver and make people entertained then I feel as if any length is a good length
