People fuming/unsubbing BFvsGF over prank plans?!?

SOOOO many people are commenting on the video saying how they are just doing it for the money, and that there are better, more entertaining vlogging channels out there, and how they are unsubscribing!!!

I find it funny how so many people/fans say that they are unsubscribing (like they need to tell everyone) but then later down the road they can't go without the content and come back anyway This happened with Epicmealtime a while back xD[DOUBLEPOST=1379260323,1379260252][/DOUBLEPOST]

I haven't seen the video you are talking about.....but recently I watched a video from a ranter, where he introduces his girlfriend in a 30 second video and doesn't really say much and kisses her in the end. People were going mad in the comments "go back to making good videos!", "we don't care about your personal life! Get back to the rants!", "It's sad that you have to tell everyone you have a gf!" etc etc. Granted this isn't quite the same, since it's not 'for money' but....yeah I have seen masses of subs turn on the content creators. I honestly believe though, that hard core fans will stick around. I am a firm believer that a Youtuber should be able to upload what they'd like to upload. (If it's safe, legal etc etc). The video from the ranter didn't bother me at all. It's not like EVERY single video he's going to make from here on out is going to be just that kind of video.......

Yeah exactly, it's sad that when people slightly change their content/try a new style of video, people go mad and unsubscribe, you're right, the loyal fans will always stay

The prank its pretty retarded and wont work because they uploaded a video saying exactly what their plan is and he will be recognized by people in the music industry so its really just a bit of a flop also i wouldnt even class it as a prank really because its not fooling anyone, everyone is already in on it.

haha yeah that is also very true, I was sat there thinking, well if two million people know this is a prank, then how will it work? Especially if they upload that video to their channel where they have talked all about it being a prank! I still love them though!

Yes and he just made like 2 videos about that recently too. Like yeah, I understand people watch him for his rants..but it doesn't bother me when he makes a video that he wants to make..after all it IS his channel, and I think a lot of people misunderstood it. Everyone was saying "oh he's showing off his gf..LAME"...but to me, I think he is just happy with her and proud of her. He shows that in his own unique style.

There are a few people I am a hardcore fan of, and they'd have to do something really bad for me to stop watching them lol.

I have never experienced it myself, but my friend @Mark Robinson told me about these two channels where eventually both of them lost a huge amount of support for different things.

Mark, correct me if I make any mistakes.

Channel A was much bigger than Channel B. Both of them did videos with tips and tricks. A day after Channel B released a video, Channel A was pretty much replicate his own version of the video and upload it. The viewers caught onto this and unsubscribed from Channel A and subscribed to Channel B.

Channel B had a position within an area of the government. He needed some extra money and so did something which was deemed inappropriate for the position he held. The viewers found out about this and reported it to his superiors which led to him losing his job, and a ton of subscribers.

That is how I understand it.

As well as this, I know a lot of review channels, especially TotalBiscuit get a lot of crap for 'selling out' and lose a fair amount of subscribers for that, but they normally gain enough subscribers a day to continually show a gain in subscribers.
