Delete whatever you feel like deleting. It is your comment section. It's not a public platform. You have total control and you set the limits.

I always try to calm things down, and if that doesn't work, I delete the whole comment thread where the fight is. It's my channel...I want everyone to get along. Some other YouTubers don't mind that kind of discussion, so I guess it's totally a personal choice.

I completely agree with this... that kind of negativity will just ruin the energy of the comment section. But if it's just a fair debate then...cool

Be flattered that people are passionately commenting based off the content of your video, and that you videos are `over the target` enough to do this.

Let them go for it, but I'd advise about stepping in on either side, whether you strongly agree or disagree with their comments, as this can get you trolled. There's some very passionate viewers out there who will subscribe to you just to downthumb your vids and leave abusive comments to you, or your viewers.

I try not to censor comments... The only thing I remove is senseless self promoting.

Since children make up a large part of our audience, we delete all obscenities and threatening words, but it's impossible to make YouTube comments a 100% safe place, the filters don't always work. No substitute for parental oversight.
