Pc recording Software??

I ran into those same problems too. for the roms it's really a hit or miss same goes for MANY recorders because emulators are so wonky. I did a PS2 game I ended up having to crop it in the end. Remember to right click the preview screen and tell it to fit to screen or it won't fit right and if it still doesn't you may have to crop it. also mess with the video source (window, game, monitor-last resort). In settings go to video make sure you set it to the correct resolution. Honestly just look up "best settings for OBS" because I don't know any of this I just followed what they put and it looks good such as settings for encoding etc.

Anyways the reason I'm really trying to experiment with the Elgato because I don't have to worry about any of that faulty screen capture with the software not detecting the window or game properly. Since it records everything that runs through it I completely bypass that problem. Also softwares can be very taxing on the computer and I have to reduce the quality of the game and recording to make it smooth which I don't like.

Same thing happened to me, i just feel that Roms are hard to record but to test out obs record and actual game like skyrim and see how it runs
 
I hate OBS and Fraps so much omg lol. Though OBS has some INSANE interactive features you can do so much but it's like totally glitchy for me, so i gave up on it.

try out dxtory, or camtasia but i personally use dxtory when im recording pc gameplay
