Paying to get my video promoted.

I've been thinking about paying YouTube to promote my channel ad/trailer for £10 to hopefully bring in more of an audience, but I'm very unsure about it and was wondering if any of you out there who's done it know how it exactly works payment wise and whether you think I should do it or not.

When it comes to payment, I go on YouTube to promote my video, enter £10 which says I should receive 3K views. So I'm paying for 3K views? Also, it takes me to Adwords which insists I create a text Ad which I don't want to, but it won't let me progress further. I don't want to pay daily. Is there any way round this? Or would you recommend any other website I should get promotion from?

When it comes to why I think I should do it, I don't naively think I'll get 3K subs and 3k views every video, I just want to gain a larger audience to interact with as daft as it probably sounds, and every video I've been uploaded has gotten views between 10 - 200 (3,000) on one with plenty of likes and very few dislikes. So I believe the quality of my videos are okay, I think I just need that bit of exposure.

Please let me know what you think and give me any advice or thoughts you possibly can. Would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)

Unless you think your videos are the best you are going to get them at that level of viewership and you have quite a lot of worthy content then promote, otherwise its really pointless :)

I've seen other youtubers use advertisements very well and succeed from it. An example would be graveyard girl, I don't know how many subscribers she had before but when I found her from her adverts, she had 1.5m subscribers, and when I came back 4 months later or so she was on 3.6m! I'd say go for it but make sure you're trailer is short, sweet and the best you can make it!

My audience seems to think my content is really good quality and the amount of content I have right now is 45 I think videos which isn't great, but I do upload daily and was nearer 100 videos but deleted my first getting started vids because of how much better the quality of my videos have become. It's also only £10, so why not I guess. Thanks for the advice. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1409779070,1409778949][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks man. I've never watched GraveYardGirl as it's not my type of videos, but I've heard of her and that just speaks volumes for how big and successful she is. I might as well do it and I'll keep your advice in mind. If it doesn't work out, it's only £10.

It doesnt hurt to advertise through google adwords but just keep a few things in mind.
1. Make sure that the ad is appealing, being as in the viewers will get to skip the ad after 5 Seconds, make sure your first 5 Seconds are to die for.
2. Also make sure to promote it to the right audience, you dont want your video to be played for EVERYONE on youtube, just the people who are interested in your type of videos.

Thanks for the advice and I'm going to make sure it's short, sweet and funny. I understand the second point and have never really understood why YouTube have it as recommended for your video to play to everyone.
