Is a network worth joining?

I am starting as well and my goal is to partner. Reading this threat it actually made me think "why do I want to partner?" And it seems that it is the logical thing to do, the next step, or even what you are supposed to do once you get popular enough. But other than that I've never given it too much thought. I guess the basic benefits sound cool like protection against certain copyright nuisances and the use of music would be the big one for me. It feels almost like it is joining an union. I suppose its more about your personal goals and where you want to take your channel as it grows. Certainly Youtube has made it easier in the past year to use game footage and grow and even earn some money out of it.

While you have 5 subs, you have nothing to lose, join freedom or something like that you get free music, stock footage and xsplit trial. its also 30 day contract so if you ever start getting views you could leave. youtube is not a way to make a fortune and if your only here for the money ive seen people fail, do it because you enjoy making videos and enjoy meeting new people, be honest and unique and your do good

I agree on that, Jamie. I am personally here for the fun and the people and I've learned soooo much in the few weeks I've been doing this. I guess I think of a partnership as an end final thing. It never crossed my mind that you could walk away. Would that change what you have uploaded in your time as a partner? would you have to go back and take down videos with music? or would they be protected since you uploaded them during your time as partner? Something to consider I guess

With freedom your free to do what ever kind of video you want (Within youtubes terms) they dont tell you what to do. And when you leave you do not have to remove any videos with music from sponsers, you just have to stop using music you may have downloaded from them and not use on your videos again unless you have permission
