Parentheses, dashes, and etc in titles and SEO

I Love YTtalk
Curious if anybody happens to know whether using parentheses in a title (example) screws with the SEO or if YT is smart enough to filter them out. The same question for dashes, how would YT treat box-head for example (as boxhead, box head, or it's own unique word "box-head")?

I don't think it makes much difference tbh. I've seen so many brackets and dashes and the like in titles that it seems to be a non - issue. I know I use a colon in most of mine, but I've never thought it would affect SEO.

I've realized that up to this point I've never wanted to do a title where a dash or anything of the sort is actually directly adjacent to the word without a space in between. I've used a lot of dashes, but always like so with spaces in between: word - word.

I've never even tried parentheses though, and now that I have a title in mind including them I sort of got concerned about how YT handles them.

I have been consistently using the word "Review:" with the colon directly afterward though and I doubt that is affecting anything... so yeah I doubt parentheses should either, but am still curious enough to make this thread.
