Panicking before making my first video

Ok, so I bought a good microphone and I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit it. The problem I've got is that I have no commentary skills or background to it. I can use Premiere Pro okay, but I dislike my voice and I'll struggle to make things listening to my voice in any way shape or form. I want to do it, but I don't think I'm good enough at the same time that I think I can do it. I'm not sure if I want to, but I've already spent £50+, so I don't want to waste it, but I worry I'll f**k up a lot and I'll be too unlikeable. I don't know anymore.
 
You will get better, your voice will change, you will get used to it. Just got to make the plunge. Just be you. I am sure you have friends and family, do they like you? Yes? Then you will be liked by others. It is all about building that courage and self confidence to be able to do it better and better. You will have bad videos and good ones and it shouldn't deter you. As long as you love doing it, nothing should be able to stop you.

Hey man, everyone hates their voice. It is natural. Do a mock video for a family member or friend, see if they like it. Be peppy and upbeat, but stay yourself, just like Wiggle said. Have fun.
 
Everyones first video everyone hates, but you still have to start somewhere after time you adapt and you see what people like what they don't like what you are use to and so on just your brain giving you a hard time, do you thats most important.
 
With voice overs its weird, you will get more comfortable with your voice as things go on
as well as that you will get better at doing the commentary itself :)
 
Then change the approach sliightly! Set a new goal - aim to learn Premiere well, while getting so used to your voice that you don't care anymore! ;)
 
hey its natural to hate the sound of your own voice in a recording its naturall its nothing wrong just science but you will get used to it and learn to make your voice more appealing or just kind of phase out the cringe no ones perfect at first but like any skill it takes a good amount of practice to present and edit

Plenty of us are paranoid that the entire world is hitting refresh on their computers just waiting for our first video to go up. They aren't. The only people who are going to see you first videos are those you share them with. You have to start somewhere if you want to learn and grow.
 
What I sometimes do is get a few good punchlines in my head ready to say, if I want to talk about a specific topic. If you just want to talk about the gameplay as you go maybe go into a few games and commentate without recording, I know this may seem weird but if you have earbuds/Headphones on if anyone hears you they will just think you are talking to other teammates or recording etc.
