Don't stress about growth too much. Just enjoy having good interactions with your fans and enjoy making your videos. If you encourage your fans to share the videos you create and get a little creative with your advertising yourself in your spare time, you'll be fine.
Just please don't set yourselves goals; it's the single most easy way to lose your focus and motivation, two or more months of not hitting goals WILL p**s you off and will reflect in your videos(anger, desperation etc).
Another indicator of growth is views per month; while I'm closing in on 200 subscribers, I've been around the 5,000 views p/month for a while now(since Feb) and only now creeping into 6,000 p/month. So while some of you are worried about having few subscribers, you're beating me in views per month - surely it's now therefore time to encourage your viewers to hit that Sub button if they're not already doing so, or maybe adding an annotation to your vid to make it easier for them to do so?
