Outsourcing?

With websites like Freelancer and Upwork it seems tempting to just hire someone cheap to do some of the hard parts of maintaining a Youtube Channel.

I was just wondering has anyone here had any experience of working with other people on your youtube channel and how did it go?

Or, what's the one part of running your channel that you'd love to be able to hand over to someone else to do for you?

I haven´t hired someone to do anything (well I have asked people for an intro, which has´t worked out), but I can´t afford to hire anyone to edit or stuff like that.

Personally the only time I would consider hiring someone is for someone to do the subtitles, I really cannot stand doing them myself :D

I've never outsourced, firstly because I'm still pretty new and secondly because I don't monetise my videos so I don't feel like I have the luxury of hiring somebody else to do a job I can be doing myself or otherwise live without.
Adding subtitles doesn't particularly bother me but that would probably be a job I'd pass out to someone if I were to outsource. I'd also maybe look for somebody to promote my videos a bit better than my current effort!

Oh wow, I didn't even realise subtitling is a thing that I should be doing ^^;;;
I just clicked the subtitles button on one of my videos and its just crazy...
A new thing to add to the list of things to do, haha

It's a personal pet peeve of mine, after seeing my own subtitles I made a pledge to update them all because they're terrible!
There's a YouTuber called Rikki Poynter who has an interesting insight on the topic, she has a video on her channel that tells you the easiest / quickest way to update them so that they're less of a pain to change.

My friend works for a gaming org on YouTube that is fairly large. They have a guy who does not make content for them, however does the networking, Seo, video ideas, and more. And that is his full time job. Since he came on the org, it has grown massively. So my answer is it depends on who you hire. But it is not a bad idea.

Hope this helped!

I love doing everything about creating videos , but we have a hard time marketing our selves , so we would love to find someone to help us do that, it's fun to talk to new people and be a part of it but where doing something wrong.
