Outro more important than intro?

Hey guys, i just made my video of my opinion on the title of this thread. I think an outro is more important, what about you lot?
Introduction plays a huge part, it always depends on what videos you make. For example, you always want to hook your audience straight away but outros also, if made well, send people to your other videos. I do believe Introductions matter more only because it sets the mood and if you have a bad intro it could effect how you feel about the overall video.

Well... if you're gonna have an intro in the first place, it's by far more important since a ton of people click away from a video after a few seconds.

And often less than half the people even make it to the end unless you have a huge sub base.

So I'd have to say intro, even though I think intros are often not even necessary (I use them myself buy always keep them around 6 seconds or less).

I see where u are coming from, but many people have quite long intros that make people click away. If they are good thou i agree they can be very effective[DOUBLEPOST=1439161363,1439161131][/DOUBLEPOST]

yeah thats true i guess, but every big youtuber im subbed to doesn't have an intro, for example; Pewdiepie, KSI, Matimi0, Boogie2988... It seems many small channel do, which it quite strange

As far as making a viewer an avid watcher and subscriber, outros or "end cards" are more important, Intros are the most effective when you tease what the video will be about before the intro plays so therefore people stay through the intro, intros only reinforce your brand.

The big ones do have an intro, whether it be by an actual video intro or more in the likes of them just saying an intro. An example on PewDiePie: "Hey how's it going bros, my name is PewDiePie!" or maybe Boogie with his vlogging series: "What's up, ladies and gentlemen on Youtube. Boogie2988 coming at you live once again once again through the power of the internet". This right here is where the content creator is using their words to introduce themselves, where as others would use an intro made with images, their channel name and then slapped on with some music to help draw the viewer in.

So if you look at why the big ones you mentioned doesn't use an intro where it's like a video, it's because the way of introducing yourself via words over and over and over again, like a salesman. You will slowly remember them more and what the intro for them will be, because they use only their words in a very short amount of time. Where as the video is quicker to draw you in, but has a less way of making you remember it.

I myself do it with words to introduce myself and my slogan in the videos I create. However, to sum it all up....they do have an intro, it's just not being shown in the way you think. :)

Hope this helped ya out a little mate, stay cozy and have a nice day!
