Organic Growth

Hi, my channel is on the brink of hitting 700 subscribers, which I am obviously pretty happy about, but even though I am at a reasonably high number, I am still only increasing by 1-2 subscribers a day. I was wondering why I haven't truly started organically growing yet, I get 2000+ video views a month too, and they are pretty high quality. Does anyone have any tips for increasing my conversion rate?

That's weird, because the bigger your sub count, the higher amount subs you should get. But maybe you don't attract viewers from outside your "clientele". Find some way to achieve that...

Unfortunately there is no set point at which your channel starts to grow without your assistance, there are too many factors, all people can give is averages but I have seen channels at 40k last year and this year well they're still on 40k.

To me, there seems to be something wrong with your views. You have 700 subscribers and averaging 2000 views a month, and I don't think these numbers correlate (but I can be wrong). I am basing this on my channel because I have half the amount of subscribers that you have and averaging around 6500 views a month. So I would check why you're not getting more views because that is where your exposure comes from--not from subscribers.

Also, I always recommend people to be more active in your niche (whether it be on YouTube or any other website). Just ask yourself when was the last time you left a quality comment on a video. Just commenting and interacting with the community is (in my opinion) the best way to grow organically because it shows your dedication and knowledge about the subject. So for you, find people who also do skateboarding videos and leave a comment that contributes the video or start a conversation with another commentor. Just remember that YouTube is a social network; it's there for people who want to engage in different communities.

Your most watched video happens to be the video that you animated which looks very nice so kudo to you. Maybe you should start doing more of those.

2000 views a month = 67 a day. Your conversion rate is around 1,5% - 3% which in my opinion is pretty cool.

If I were you I'd focus more on getting views.

I agree. I have 75 subs and 5000 views per month.

Yeah... organic growth you are talking about won't happen until you are probably well into the 1000's. The more subscribers you have, the more your videos get shared, and the bigger your exposure gets. But, stop looking at those numbers, they only serve to make you feel less than optimal.

Thanks for the reply! And yeah, I get a decent amount of views on each video, but I rarely have videos which do really well, they all average between 100-400 views!
