Ordering my lights!!!

Hi guys,

Soon I will be making a lot of videos in my bedroom, random challenges etc. Similar to Marcus Butler, Joe Sugg, Alfie Deyes etc

Will these lights be ok?

Do I need to order anything else light wise? Or does this come with everything I need?

  • The Photogeeks Super 5 Lampholder holds upto five bulbs each, combined with the ten supplied 45w bulbs, each light gives out a powerful 225w of light which is the equivalent of 1125w in incandescent lighting. Each lampholder has a switch for each bulb on the back offering the ultimate in versatility regarding the strength of light for each softbox. The bulb sockets are E27 so you can upgrade to more powerful bulbs in the future if needed.
  • 2 x PhotoGeeks 60 x 90cm Softboxes, constructed with a highly reflective inner surface and a photography grade white diffuser, they are used to create a natural diffused light, reducing the extreme highlights and sharp shadows which would be produced from direct lights. Please note that the white diffuser can be removed from the softbox if a direct floodlight effect is desired.
  • The energy saving fluorescent 5500k bulbs provide the ideal light colour temperature for photography, the natural daylight they reproduce give your photographs a truer or more natural colour balanced representation of the subject than gained when using 6400k or 2700k bulbs. They are also low heat lighting and are much safer and comfortable to work with when compared to incandescent lighting.
  • Lightweight aluminium alloy light stands adjust from 0.75 to 2.1m in height using two single action nut locks, providing fast precision height adjustment
  • Carry bag provided giving you a lightweight, versatile and easy to use portable lighting package.

Thanks guys[DOUBLEPOST=1441480348,1441464394][/DOUBLEPOST]Any suggestions?

I have very similar lights to those, they can do pretty much anything, there's what I don't like about them:

They are super soft, even if you remove all diffusion, so its something to work around especially if you want to play with shadows.
They are made of plastic and two locks have broken. they still stay on the stands however are flimsy, but they do the job.
they don't easily blend with tungsten balanced indoor bulbs, which are mostly under 3000K.

Here's what I love about them:

They are sooper soft and have very nice quality and is very moldable, especially with ability to turn off any number of bulbs.

What I'd recommend: Invest in a harsh light to go with them, or if you are just focusing on adding light to a scene, these are great.
