Optimal Page Layout?

Hows it goin tubetalkers. I am looking for opinion when it comes to my page layout. Right now the mindset behind it currently was to remove ''popular videos'' ( because I don't got views like that to gauge anyway ) and I also removed ''uploads'' playlist with the idea being you could just click the videos tab to see most recent etc.

That leaves me to put about 5 different categories of content displayed on my front page starting with what genre I think is strongest at the top etc. This I think works nice for those who are already subscribed but not sure if something feels off or is missing for new people who clink into my page.

Any thoughts?

What I like to put on the homepage is:
1) uploaded videos (so the viewer DOES NOT HAVE TO click)
2) popular videos - people can easily find good content
3) playlists - thus people know where and what to look for.

As McCoob said - I use uploads first (when you load up page, you see trailer and latest uploads, so people are more likely to check more videos), then I put most popular (so viewers can see what people like most on my channel) and then some most active playlists :)

100% on keeping Uploads and Popular.

If you want to control that Uploads stream, you can make a Playlist and call it "Uploads" Make it your top playlist. I know folks do this when they want to juggle their recently views a bit.
