Opinion on Sub 4 Sub?

Hey Guys as many of us are youtubers, many of us I am sure have been asked if we sub 4 sub? I was wondering what is your opinion on sub 4 sub? IMO, I think sub4sub is incredibly stupid. you aren't getting any views your not getting feedback, just a virtual number added to your subscribers? If there is any upsides to sub4sub please let me know because I honestly dislike people who sub4sub with a fiery passion

it might be beneficial in short term (only from a physiologic level, since some people would see that you have 1k subs, they will more inclined to sub, then if you have 1, but thats only my opinion and i have no evidence to support it), but in the long run:
1) it won matter since your views will be low, and you will have probably 0 interception with your sub-base
2) eventually YT will make another sweep and remove those subs

That is my opinion :)

So True Man!!

All sub4sub is good for is falsely inflating your subscriber count. They probably won't be watching/interacting with your videos, so they are not active. Plus, they'd probably unsubscribe in the future, hoping you won't notice and still stay subscribed to them.

I seen a channel sub4subbing before. It had 20k subs and like 20 views per vid. I don't think it even slightly helps if your channel sucks.

It's funny though because I feel like when you're first starting a channel almost all the people you interact with are also starting a channel... It makes me wonder if there are actually people out there who watch YouTube videos that don't have their own channel that they want to grow. Before I started a channel I didn't even really understand subscribing, I would just watch a video and then leave...
