One Vital tip for succeeding on Youtube.

The All-Round Lad
I have one tip for you all today that should help you to succeed on youtube, and this is one thing so many people don't do, and that is inherit the ability to self criticize.

I feel tired saying this, but people don't "Hate" on your videos without a valid reason, and 90% of that time is them not liking a part of your videos. Now I know most people ignore them or ban/block them or whatever...but that won't help you.

You should take in what they have to say, even if they call your videos " a steaming pile of s**t" you must consider what got them feeling that way, and see if theres a way to self improve.

Since I started actually listening to negative comments, I actually have gotten less, more views and subs too!

I know most people won't agree with me..but its true.

The Only Problem is if they just hit dislike and never explain why.. Or just saying your video is a steaming pile of poop doesn't help you make it better if you don't know what it is that made it poop. I never complain when a person dislikes our videos or even says something nasty.. But I think there is a huge difference between critiquing a video and criticizing a video.

Very true! If you're goonna need to improve the best person to tell you what it is, is someone in the audience :) It's quite annoying though sometimes how people will just say things like 'fake and gay' when in reality it's telling you nothing really :P

Yeaah I know what you guys are talking about, but I mean that when somebody says something like that...you should have a slight re-evaluation of the video...nothing too specific, just have a look to see what could be changed.

I agree.. I have actually asked people to tell me those kinda things.. I try to find people on this forum whom I respect and ask them to tell me what can be changed and they try to follow that input.

I dunno about how much you respect me, but if you ever need somebody to give you some feedback on certain videos...hollah!

I don't respect you but feel free.. Just kidding I would love to hear your input.. jsut don't say "your video's are a steaming pile of s**t" unless you say what makes them that way.. Also please don't say make John smarter.

This. Many people on Youtube, like you said, don't listen to them.
I personally bring up the negative pointers in update videos just so everyone is aware of them, then I fix it. :D

Some people legitimately go around and leave random negative comments on videos to try to start a senseless argument, haha. :facepalm2:

I actually had this problem while posting my video on reddit. I accept criticism but I need intelligence, not a person who says you're not talented or a retard. I need constructive criticism where I can improve upon what I do already
