One Music Video Every Week channel - Need feedback from you guys!

Hi everyone,

My name is Edoardo. I just recently started publishing videos on a regular basis. The goal of the channel is to release one new music video every week and so far I have done 4.

I'd like feedback on the quality of the music and the video, as well as any advice you may have on how to make the videos more entertaining or just really anything you would change/improve.

Thank you so much, it means a lot to me!

You, sir, have managed to make the Ukelele sound epic instead of happy, which is a feat in itself. I like the multi-instrument cut you have going in the videos. I wish I had more constructive criticism but the truth is I really just enjoyed it haha.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but in order for me personally to want to subscribe to you, you'd have to do something unique to the music. No matter how much I like a song, I wouldn't be interested in watching or listening to a cover of it that is almost as good or even as good when I can just listen to the original. Older video game music is a little better because they are normally done with computers and so just the act of playing them with real instruments changes them enough. I really like a video of a guy playing Pachelbel's Canon on an electric guitar because it is really fast. The only music-based channel I'm subscribed to is Oleg Berg because he takes famous songs and changes the scale so a song in major scale becomes one in minor scale and vice versa. It is very interesting to hear it changed like that.

Haha thank you Agufish!

Yeah Idec, I totally share and understand your point. I am originally from Italy and only moved to LA a few years ago so I have been brainstorming some ideas and trying to implement that in the channel somehow to make it more unique and personal.
I was also thinking about doing extra videos about other topics but more focused on me talking than playing, to let viewers get a more personal perspective on me. What do you think? Is differentiating a channel too much confusing or constructive?

Thank you so much for the responses! Keep em coming! =)

Again, speaking only for me personally, I wouldn't care to know more about someone on YouTube unless I'm already a regular viewer of their channel, which means I have to really like their videos. Lots of other people like to take part in more personal and emotional activities than I do, so what I described may not be true for them. I think talking works if you have funny perspectives on things (TheBibleReloaded), are making fun of things (CinemaSins and BadLipReading), are explaining something I don't already know (Numberphile), or telling interesting facts and how things work (Vsauce).

Differentiating a channel can be good to get people who only like one part of your channel, but it also spreads you thinner and some people might only stay subscribed to channels that they can always depend on to deliver the type of content they subscribed for.

Very true! I'll definitely keep that in mind for all my future videos and I guess the next step would be to try to work myself into the videos I already make, without necessarily spreading around too much content-wise. Thank you so much!

Glad you liked the banner. I just replaced my avatar yesterday but I'm still not happy with it. I guess I just need to get used to seeing my face from the other end, still a bit awkward.
I'm working on my Photoshop skills to improve the thumbnails and also trying to nail the "Youtube" style that people expect these days from professional videos.
I'm really happy you liked the channel overall and enjoyed my videos =)
