One Channel or Two?

Hi everyone

I'm just starting up a new channel now. I want to do adventure travel videos as well as weekly Vlogs.

My question is - is it worth splitting this into two channels?
i.e. one channel with all the adventure videos so it all falls under one 'brand' so to speak and another second channel following my life (posting weekly Vlogs no matter where I am & continuing once I return from my travels)

What do you think?
I know the general advice is to start off with one channel and then create a 2nd channel later on, just wondering what the general consensus is here?

Thanks!

Personally, I'd say it would be best if you just added your adventure videos to that same channel! I'd say vlogging and adventure videos can go quite well together!

I agree with the above - you could always run them as separate series (in different playlists) so that fans of your channel can watch exactly what they want. Subscribers may become fans of both channels too, meaning that you are unable to gain an exact number of fans for yourself.

Thank you both for your feedback.
I've already started using separate playlists under one channel and and I guess you two have confirmed this is probably the best way to proceed for now!

I would also suggest using playlists and uploading both to one channel, because the audiences for both are pretty similar. Good luck!

I agree with the lot in here. They're not so drastically different that you'd be attracting two completely different audiences, so it's probably best to have all of it on one channel and use playlists to your advantage.

I think you should just keep it on the same channel. If you are going to do Vlogs that talk about where you are going to be that kind of ties into the adventure videos. Its also good to have everything in one spot :D

If you plan on splitting into 2 channels, wait until you get a substantial amount of subs on 1 channel then split. That way you will have a headstart when it comes to the new channel. I made the mistake of making a new channel when under 100 on my main channel. Should have waited :/

It sounds like the content is similar so I would stay with one channel. Only make a different channel if the content is not related. (i.e. Gaming and vlogging)

I like your channel ideas! I myself have two channels but one is a vlog/vfx channel and the other is a music channel I recently created. These topics I believe are different enough to create separate channels but in your case, playlists are the way to go.
