I do not know about old school/ new school youtubers but I liked when youtubers where really real. The motto was broadcast yourself and people did just that they filmed with whatever they had, in front of their computer and that was enough. Now I see set or Ikea looking room etc.. I don't know it is less natural.

I'm torn. I really enjoy the quality and the content of new school YT'ers. Teenage girls are basically shooting commercial quality videos in their bedrooms now. I think that's pretty cool.

But I do miss when YT was smaller and more community like.[DOUBLEPOST=1427165458,1427165039][/DOUBLEPOST]

I just subscribed to your channel! You have a lovely family, your little girl is too cute! :)

I guess the old school. When they opened up partnership for everyone the market got saturated by silly people wanting to make a quick buck. People re-uploading videos and monetizing them, just put out unedited stuff, all that bull.

Sure, my channel is vintage 2012, and I monetized my stuff. But there for the money? Hell no. It's just a way to get a little bit back from what I pour into my hobby and passion. Guess I think of myself as an new school YouTuber with an old school core.

I like a good mixture of the two and can appreciate them for their different qualities. Like many have said, the community aspect of YouTube was amazing back in the day, but the quality has highly improved and I think there are a lot of things that you can do through YouTube that would have been unthinkable back in the day.
