Ok I have a question do any big youtubers buy views and or subscribers?

I suppose some must have at some point, but the majority are popular because of the passion they put in and the quality of their content.
 
I don't know why people would "buy subscribers." Why would you treat your audience like it's the f*****g stock exchange? There's nothing right with buying subs
 
I have heard that a lot of the big Youtubers have....Sxephil...RWJ....Shane Dawson. I heard that they all started out that way, by buying views and such. But..I cannot say for sure if it is true. And I would personally never do that. I don't think it'd feel very rewarding. And I don't believe it is as easy to get away with that now, as it was back then either.

Past a certain point they all seem legit – if some someone has bought their way to from 100k to 200k+ subscribers and another channel genuinely 200k+ subscribers, who could tell the difference?

For example, any one notice how Jenna Marbles has over 12 million subscribers and on average gets a similar amount of views on her videos to a channel with around 1 to 2 million subs? I am not suggesting that she has bought any, but my point is that past a point it’s just impossible to tell what’s going on.
 
I have talked with a top 100 YouTuber and there was some shady stuff going on the first few years of YouTube. Some former stars complained that their channels don't survive YouTube algorithm changes. While YT has had instances where YT had glitched but you have to wonder if those YouTubers didn't really have a dedicated fan base to begin with.
 
There's no way to know for sure if they did or not, but like most have said here it's not a good idea. Buying subscribers or videos views can hurt your channel more than help it. Even if it's "real people" and not bots. Rather than spend your time and money on that spend it learning how to promote your channel to an audience who can actually enjoy your content!
