Notifying your subscribers

I have recently been noticing that I sometimes get emails and notifications on my phone when some I'm subscribed to uploads a new video.

How can I access this feature myself, or is it already in affect? Also, what other notifications can we push to our subscribers?

I've wondered about that too, especially as it seems to send me through notifications of the people I don't care about so much! I always assumed it was in the Settings somewhere and that the subscriber had control but I've never really looked into it.

Forreal! Sometimes it's people I watch, but it's mostly not. That's how I noticed it happening.

In my experience it's pretty random and it happens automatically. I have a second channel that's pretty small. Less than 100 subscribers. And I subscribed to it with my main channel account and I get emails every now and then notifying me of the videos that were uploaded

Maybe they're testing it out or something.
 
You only have access to turn this feature off when uploading a new video. If you check the box before the upload is completed, it won't notify your subscribers that you uploaded a new video. This setting is under the Advanced tab when uploading a video.

On the other end of things, your subscribers can request to be notified when you upload new content by doing the following:
1. Desktop - Clicking the little settings icon button next to the "Subscribed" button and then ticking the box that says "Send me all notifications for this channel".

2. Mobile - Tapping on the little bell icon next to the Subscribe button.
