Noticing an edit mistake in your uploaded video

I don't tell other channels I just feel like its going to sound more of a negative comment rather than just an observation especially when they've worked hard on it.
Trueee that's where I'm always stuck because I'm never aware if they know it's there but like you I don't want to come off negative and feel like reading it may come off different than was intended.

Yeah, I know the pain. I think that YouTube should be able to allow you to upload an updated version of the video. With the scanning/auto-detecting algorithms and such now they should be able to detect if it is still the same video (up to say 95%+ to safeguard it from people abusing it) so that people can re-upload corrected videos without having to delete the original and upload a completely new one.

I've definitely deleted and re-uploaded videos when I noticed mistakes. It's not worth leaving it up for eternity broken like that, especially if it's trivial to fix.

Yep it doesn't happen so often now because I watch my videos over before uploading them, but it used to happen ask the time to me when I was less careful

I drives me nuts when I notice a mistake, I live in the middle of no where with pretty slow broadband, a 20 minute HD video takes all night to upload, so having to re-upload is such a long winded process.

I know your pain, we have a relatively fine download speed but our upload is horrible. Also whenever I upload anything it totally kills the internet for everyone else and no one can do anything on it [emoji35] .

Occsionally when i have made this mistake my subscribers have noticed but that was a particular bad edit mistake where i cut of half of my intro by mistake before the opening animation *facepalm* needless to say i havent done that again but agreed its frustrating when you miss sometihng and by the time you have noticed it the vids already got views and comments and the like

Oh... I have done that... And it p****d me off something fierce. I have actually uploaded a RAW instead of the edited video once... Nothing to be afraid of since I don't video stuff that I wouldn't want out on the internet (which is a wise lesson for all). But still stupid. I deleted it as soon as I found out, and reupped the correct video. It was only up for 15 minutes, and I had 15 subscribers at the time. I doubt anyone ever noticed.

I remember once I uploaded a video after rendering it for hours and noticed I made a mistake, I have OCD so I deleted the video re-rendered it and uploaded it again lol it's annoying as hell
