I've Got It
I love making youtube videos. but (and i knew this would happen eventually) im starting to do more things in my life that require more of my time in which case its hard for me to even sit down and record a video sometimes, let alone edit and upload it. and i really dont wanna take a long break from youtube cause i already did once and it was hard to get my channel going again. but honestly my channel just doesnt get any real feedback n stuff. so its kinda like why bother adding more stress and get nothing out of it. what should i do?

well you cant take a break if you want your channel to grow and when it starts to get bigger then you will get more comments, likes and subs

Change your schedule to something that suits you more, or do up a timetable like I did that allows you to even out YouTube stuff and other things in the day. :)

Exactly, if you dont want to put the time and effort in, then your channel will just become stagnant. You have to constantly upload good content when your up against hundreds of thousands of other channels. Once you start gaining a consistent amount of subs, views etc, then the comments, likes will come. But just like everything, it takes alot of time and patience which unfortunately not everyone has.

It really depends on how much you enjoy doing it. If its just a passtime/hobby, than I would say that you shouldn't let it get in the way of your real life happenings in any way. If it's something that you truly enjoy doing, than I would suggest working out a schedule that will let you put out enough videos a week to remain relevant. Remember that it will be a long time before you get any likes or comments, so for now, just be content that there are people watching! Hope this helps you!

honestly i get that. i know that. and ive been trying to put in that effort. i will admit im not a very patient person. it literally takes me about 5 hours to upload a vid and i try to be consistent with. ive had my channel for almost a year i measn seriously youd think id have at least a couple people who consistently watch. i love doing it and i wanna keep doing it but its getting in the way. and mind you ive been uploading on this channel for a year. i should have a couple consistent subs

Yes but you only started uploading again within the past two months. In four months of absence, you would be easily forgotten by all your subs with how many gaming channels there are! If you take breaks like that, expect to lose your entire fan base. With that, the reality is that your channel only started 2 months ago. Maybe there were a couple of subs that stuck around and started watching when you uploaded again, but I imagine the number was few, if any. I'd say that you need to upload more CONSISTENTLY. For gaming I'd recommend a minimum of 3 videos a week, spread out evenly. The last video you uploaded was 6 days ago and that is simply too long to go without another video. A video a week is more the speed of a sketch channel, where its a full on production. People aren't going to feel the effort your putting in when you take a week to push out a 10 minute gaming video. Hope this helps you more!

ive been trying to upload a video for 5 days. this video keeps giving me issues. ive tried re rendering. doing other things. theres always an issue. whether its with the video or the audio. this happens a lot so its hard to keep consistent. this happens about every week. so yes obviously i know no one knows that which pisses me off and stresses me out because then everyone thinks im being inconsistent

When a video is giving me too much trouble and I feel like its not going to get released in a timely manner, I'll usually just record a short indie game of some kind (between 5-15 minutes long), to release in place of it. It tends to be that you'll get less problems with shorter videos, so maybe try that if you have the time. If not, I don't know if I could help without a bit more detail as to what video/audio problems you're having.

Competing in an oversaturated market has the same effect as uploading in an insanely small niche like knitting with exclusively pink wool. Hundreds of thousands of people are uploading Minecraft videos, what makes you stand out? I can imagine with what you've put out, probably not much.
