Not sounding dull.

I've Got It
In my videos, it seems it always turns out I sound dull or sound like a robot (someone said in the comments lol). It may be I have a deep voice or something, I dunno.

I try to sound a bit louder and more exciting but it doesn't seem to be working.

Anyone have any tips on how to improve such a case? :b

what should do is change your range up. I was getting the same thing so I went searching try to go from different pitches in your voice and do not keep it monotone!

Move around! I'm serious. Stand up, sit down, move your arms. Be dynamic. Smile when you're talking. Imagine you're reading a story to a child!

Yeah, monotone was the word I was looking for. I find it hard to change from one tone of voice to another during my videos.

I used to train people in a call centre including voice training. yeah, watched a few clips and you do sound quite robotic.

Generally the biggest problem when trying to sort this out is trying to find a balance between a clear and easy to understand "telephone voice" and your own natural and comfortable voice that you use around your friends as it flows a lot more naturally and pitch and inflection are more defined.
First off you need to be comfortable enough with what you are doing (in this case youtube) to a point that you can talk as if your microphone is a mate you've known for years and drink with on sunday afternoons after watching the football.

The hard part is just getting to that stage, then it's just a case of making sure you still sound clear and easy to understand.

Thank you for the tips!

Pretty much sums it up.

Try listening to yourself when you talk to your friends - I'm hoping you don't talk monotone with your friends.

Listen how you phrase your sentences, inflect words, etc. It'll help.

I just speak in a monotone voice when speaking into a microphone, not to my friends.

I don't know why, but it is irritating not being able to talk normally, even if the microphone isn't a real person.

your voice is certainly not deep.
try to want to make the vid instead of just doing it because of your subs.

get excited to do stuff.
