I actually just said maybe to someone that personally asked me. I like it when someone offers a request just for me. Shows that they're looking for someone that seems like a good match to begin with, and must be at least be putting a decent amount of effort- rather than doing a blind search.

I'm not saying this is always the case, but it's just the feeling I get out of it.
 
I don't like collaborations because one of two things always happen:

1. The person is totally unprepared and doesn't even know what video wants to make and can't decide who's channel the video is going to be on.
2. I don't get accepted, or the person says they'll add me on Skype but never does.
 
I try and crawl around every few days, but honestly, soooo many gaming channels. That's not something I can contribute to. I did a voice-over for an animation, and I'd be happy to pitch in for a comedy sketch or something, but I'm not set up for gaming :-/

This is going to sound like trolling, but it's not intended that way: I don't really understand the huge appeal of collaborations for gaming channels? I mean, I could understand a long-term paired channel, but what does a one-off collab really look like? I feel like it'd be hard to have a well-done commentary without a lot of planning.

With comedy/animation collabs, you're able to send over a script...

I dunno. Maybe I've just seen bad gaming collabs. I'd love to be proven wrong!

THIS! If you want to collab...shouldn't you already have a script written? (or at least a general outline?)

I would try and watch / reply / get in contact with other youtubers directly on YouTube instead of this forum. PM them and see if they're interested in doing a collab.
 
I won't collaborate because many seem unserious about it. I get all excited and is ready to rumble, and the other part is just all "meh".
