Not growing fast enough? How to improve growth rate?

Xenocorpse

I've Got It
I currently have 275 subscribers and my goal is 500 by the end of the year, however at the rate I'm currently going, even though it's better than last month, it won't get me to my goal and I'm pretty goal oriented. Any advice from the community that could help me to possibly increase my growth rate? Any feedback about why I'm not growing as quickly as I'd like to?

The easiest way to grow your channel is to collaborate. You have 250 subscribers, I have 250. Chances are they aren't the same subscribers. We collab and we have a chance to promote eachother on eachothers channels and we both grow.

The more collabs you do the more frequent you will see growth.

Wait... ARE YOU ZESTY MIKE?

haha yeah that'd be me xD What's up?

It's so cool to actually see you active in the community as I've seen you in Freedom's Impulse series! I'm a Freedom! partner as well lol
I appreciate your time to help me out! Collabs never really workout for me due to people not having right timezones or my internet fails the day I want to record or something similar. However, I'll try to see what I can do to collab with someone :)

Well the thing is that the thing you can do is promote in this forum and others around the place that will allow your to promote your content along with getting out of social media and also look at optimizing SEO and things like that as all of them will help in the long run and also as it's been suggested collaborate if possible with someone from your timezone/s but the main thing to remember is that you keep producing high quality content that people will want to watch and subscribe to.

haha actually transferring footage to edit Impulse now xD. But yeah I hear you. Earlier today we had a meeting with a few YouTube friends. One was getting ready for bed. I was getting ready for lunch and the other was getting ready for dinner lol. We had some hardcore planning to make sure we all were able to communicate. Time zones are only a minor setback. More than half of our YouTube friends we collab with are about 8 hours ahead of us. =)

I guess I just don't plan that hardcore lol. How did you make your YouTube friends? Did you message them on their channel or contact them by collab requests on forums like these or are they friends from the past?

I met a few good ones from this site. For instance @laurenzside . Then she introduced us to other YouTubers. We befriended them, met their friends, their friends friends etc. All it takes is one good connection.

But yeah alot of the collaboration I do is via email. If I see someone I would like to work with I shoot them an email. If you have something to offer, more times than not people will respond to you. I've done collabs with Todd from Barely Political, EdBassmaster, Onision, SwiftKarateChop, GoneToTheSnowDogs & SMPFilms all by reaching out to them. I know these aren't all gamers. But it doesn't hurt to try contacting people in your genre.

Well, thanks! I really appreciate your help Mike! It's really nice being able to get advice straight from you instead of just from Impulse :) I'll take your advice and I'll see where I get with it!
