Not Going Anywhere?

Usually I gain 1-3 subscribers a day, and my subscriber number goes up easily, but it seems like I have hit a point where I'm not going anywhere. It seems like I gain the same amount that I've been losing. I have been stuck around 319 for about a week now. I hate this feeling! I don't think i'll reach my subscriber goal for this month, something that I found pretty easy to accomplish in the past. I think it could be that I recently switched how I upload and the type of videos I upload. Either that or people are loosing interest in my channel D:

I feel like i'm chasing my own tail, and not really getting anywhere haha.

KG, I understand your frustration, but it could be worse bud. Kat was at 290 something for almost 2 months..... it's just a dry spell, we all hit them. I'm not gaining near what I'm used to either but I'm also not uploading to a schedule nor am I uploading the content I was it just... happens man.
 
i've been stuck ish my self some days we get zero subs sone days we lose subs lol. but our viewers keep enjoying what we put out so im not too upset about it. just keep bustin away

Yeah you got a point. I guess it's because I haven't really experienced this before.
 
I hate when that happens too... It drives me a bit crazy if I'm stuck at the same sub count for a few DAYS x___x It's like, ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED.

right, first time I started to get dislikes on my videos I was like "WHHHHAAAAAA???? DISLIKES???? ON MMMMMMYYYYY VIDEOS????? NUUUUU!!!!!" Now I get dislikes on every video I don't even look to see how many there are LOL. Hell I don't even look at the likes, I find it affects nothing LOL
 
I'm gaining on average 6 subscribers a day, but they're mostly from the PewDiePie video, and never watch me again. Other than that, I'm just stagnating as well. At least for you it's different, because it's a daily vlog which some people follow and others may not. It's still unfortunate, but different. With my rants, I try and argue a point, and look for feedback and criticism. If I cannot get that, I end up feeling like YouTube is a failure for me as well, which is unfortunate. Overall, I think the only ways to get bigger on YouTube is to either get a viral video, or receive a shoutout from a larger YouTuber, either of which is extremely difficult to achieve. So in short, I'm right there with you. :(

Also note that subscriber count is worthless. As someone with over 2,000 subscribers who struggles to break 100 views with a new upload every few days, it's embarrassing.

That's a good point! It seems like my audience still enjoys my content its just a bit of a drag going from gaining all the time to a plateau.
 
I try not to think about subs.... I mean deep down inside i really do wish my channel gets a ton of subscribes but I find that when I worry about subs I loose sight of the main reasons why I'm doing this. . . .
  • to not be bored
  • to just make videos <--- I like making videos even video that don't feature me
