NOT BIG ENOUGH

My YouTube channel isn't particularly big but I don't see this as a negative at all. I consider this as a positive as I can communicate and talk to my viewers and other users with ease. With my channel being relatively small at the moment, I'm also able to maintain regular contact with a few other users who I now even consider as a friend. A YouTube channel will eventually grow over time so in the meanwhile, focus on uploading content that you love creating and you shall soon see evident results if you persevere.

Yeah, there are a bunch of YouTubers who started around the same time I did, and they are growing really fast. They deserve it, but I sometimes feel a bit insecure that my growth is slower. At the end of the day, though, I can't NOT make videos, so I try to avoid focusing on the numbers too much. I made rule to look at Analytics only once every two or three weeks!

I too try and avoid the numbers as it does tend to make me question why i'm putting all this time and effort into it, if my biggest viewer is ME!

But at the end of the day i always end up making another video because it's fun so, like an addict, i am slowing trying to stop looking at the likes, subs, views etc

It's so easy for people to say "Don't focus on the numbers" but let's be honest - if it didn't matter at all none of us would ever bother looking at our analytics. It's an ego thing. If we didn't care if anyone saw our videos we'd keep them on our hard drives and not share them on the internet.
I've been at this for a few years now and I do get incredibly frustrated that I don't get the numbers I think my videos deserve and that my subscriber count is so low. I keep doing it because if I didn't, I would miss it. Making videos is fun, and I do have a small group of people who I know enjoy my stuff. Maybe the numbers will catch up some day. If not, I'll still have a great library of content that I'm proud of!

While it's a little disheartening to see my channel and views very slowly grow, I think what hits me hardest is how I keep bouncing around in subs. It goes up and down fairly often, though still towards the up direction, just extra slow. I'll still make videos though because I enjoy doing it. Hopefully I'll get some free time to do some collabs in the future, and aside from the fun/meeting new people aspect, that might help in my channel growth as well :)

Best of luck to the OP and everyone who's posted so far. We'll all get there one day ;)

I can't figure out what to quote because that is a great post from start to finish. True, and honest, and I think you have the right attitude. :thumbsup2:
