Noise filter for mic?

Is there a program I can use to filter background noise from my mic? The one built into my computer is broken, so I use my HTC One M8 with an auxiliary cable and microphone app, but it picks up the fan on my laptop which is almost always blowing. It was suggested I should use Audacity to record the audio, remove background noise, and add it seperately, but I hate the syncing process and would rather do it in real time. I'm recording with OBS for my gaming channel and I can't move the phone away or I'll lose audio levels.

Anyone know of anything?

Doesn't OBS allow you to record the commentary file as a separate file now? If so you wouldn't need to record it in Audacity but you can still use Audacity to edit it.

Dude, genius. I forgot about that feature. When I saw it I just left it unchecked because muh file space, but definitely gonna give that a shot.

If you want to keep the voice recording and the audio recording together then no. There are thing that can help this problem but nothing to remove it completely and have the audio sound nice. A tip to reduce the noise is to move the microphone close to your mouth and reduce the microphone gain.
