No subscriber engagement? HELP!

I follow a daily vlog and she asks a question in each video . First I was scared to answer. Then I started answering everyday I just thought how fun is this, I wake up and know I will answer my litle question of the day.

I did not do anything like that as I have travel videos , haul, and my daughters evolution vids. But on my new diet videos for the giveaway I think I will do that. Ask a question to have a comment to select as a winner

It might be worth going into your analytics and doing a bit of research on what your most popular videos are, and how people are finding them (if you click on "traffic sources") - that way you'll have a better idea of which videos your subscribers are actually interested in watching - I think there's even a way to see which videos people subscribed from as well?
But yeah, if you take some time to figure out what your subscribers like about your channel then you'll hopefully be able to plan some videos that they'll want to click on :)

My analytics are skewed. I had to reboot the channel, so, even after chaning the date range, videos from my old channel are the most popular, even to this day. Which makes me wonder...

I would create a schedule if I was you. I tend to get a few views by luck with next to no subscribers. The reasoning is probably because of my daily uploads which are normally up by waking hours in the whole U.S.A..

I am planning to put a schedule in place today and start it tomorrow! :)

I get what you mean. I have a tough set of subscribers who I kinda have to constantly remind them to engage with me.

Here's my tip, at the end of every video or the beginning ask them an open ended question and tell them you wanna discuss in the comments section. For example, I made a video about how my accent messes up the pronunciation of words so I asked my subscribers what word they can't pronounce? Which produced a lot of funny responses.

And once anyone comments always reply. Treat them like your friend and not a stranger. Because once one person has had a positive experience of commenting on your video they'll keep commenting on your other videos and soon you'll have regulars.
