Nintendo must be strict with copryright claims

Sounds like they must be pretty strict. Be careful on your next videos!

I've never understood why companies do this. You, the creator, is giving their game free publicity thus giving them the chance to sell more copies of a game. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but this seems quite dumb to me.

Speaking of Nintendo, is it best not to try and monetize anything with Mario in it? I just started my Retro Trip segment on my channel only to have the first video have three claims on it. It's Super Mario World, so I can understand why. The weird thing is that I've got a ton of Smash Bros and Mario Kart videos on my channel all monetized, except one Mario Kart video. So with this, I'm wondering if I should even bother continuing the Super Mario World series or just NES and SNES games in general. Like, with them not being monetized, should I still keep uploading them?

I have a full series on The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and I started The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and only have gotten my first video of SS claim the other is the final of TP. I also have a video of Mario that never got claim. Sometimes they will claim if the music is kinda loudish or the game is new since it is an automatic system.

Here is the list of the games they will most likely claim:

Ah, I see. I perhaps I'll be fine if I turn down the game volume then to where you can slightly hear it but still be recognizable.

The thing is, if they own the games and if they don't want you to make videos about it, we have no right to go around their back and do it anyway, regardless of wether or not we give em free publicity.

And well.... Nintendo hardly needs selling a Mario game. Anyone that hasn't heard of him or know about the next big Smash, Party or Kart game might as well hang up their controller.
