Nintendo 3DS Recordings?

Joshua Severi

I've Got It
So with the new Pokemon game coming out in less than 2 hours I am trying to find a way to record gameplay to maybe upload it to my channel! The only thing I can find is this website here: www(dot)3dscapture(dot)com which not only are the prices ridiculous for the amount of projected earnings from recording gameplays, but he is all sold out of his device. Does anyone here know of a way to record your 3ds gameplay for under about $150 without using a camera. Like I am talking about a capture card device of some sort. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated. If I remember I will make a list of things people have suggested below to reduce spam of the same info. I will include the website I have found to start the list.

Hmm...Xbox and PS are so easy to do this on. Any portable gaming device has this issue. That is why Nintendo is trying to make them more "social". Once they become "social" like smartphones are,you should be able to do this. Yet for now, you should try to find a 3ds capture card. There expensive, but the only way.

Yea. That website posted in the suggestions are sold out but they are like no less than $255. :/ Why can't nintendo make this already?!

Nintendo has flat out refused to make a capture card for there systems. Read it on the internet. They refuse to do it.

You are not going to find any capture devices for the 3DS for $150 or less. All the ones you can find are always more than $200. These devices are difficult to make, so $250 for one isn't ridiculous, since that's the cost to make it plus the labor to install it to the 3DS.

Also, there's actually a second order page on that site. The second order page does not allow you to buy the 3DS and capture board installation at once. It only allows for you to buy the installation. You have to ship the 3DS to the guy.
Go to: 3dscapture(dot)com/order_alt(dot)html

Do note that everyone and their mother is trying to get a 3DS capture card for Pokémon X and Y, so this guy is extremely busy. It will take a while for you to get your 3DS back.

There's also this site: 3dsvideocapture(dot)com
That site is going to have about the same price for the capture device. This site will allow you to buy a 3DS and board installation at once, so if you don't own a 3DS, but you want to record, you can go there.

It also has the capture devices for the PS Vita if anyone is interested in that, too.

Thanks for the second website. I haven't seen that one yet. I'm pretty sure I can install it myself for I already have a 3DS. I'm just contemplating if it is a good choice. .__. Lol. But thanks again!

If you go to the second site, I believe you can actually buy just the capture board and install it yourself. However, there have been numerous times where people tried and immediately went back and asked for help. You can also send your 3DS in to the guys for them to install the board for you. The labor would be more than $100, but they do it for free this way.

I just sent them an inquiry on the matter of sending it in to them to install. (second website) Hopefully they get back to me soon! I really wanna do a Let's Play of Pokemon X with high quality. Not a camera pointed at the screen. :/
