Next Step? - How to Constantly Grow

Hi YT-friends!

The growth of my channel has been great the past months. I'm at the point were I gain +50 subscribers a day. Which motivates me to continue.

How do I take my channel to the next level? My goal is to make YouTube my full time job, but even with 10k views every day my goal feels far fetched. I guess that's because at this point I was hoping to have gained way more subacribers than 4000.

So here I am, asking for advice and guidance. Maybe someone have experienced this and can point me in the right direction.

If you don't have any advice, at least we can start a conversation and chat about it.

Your doing ok, just keep doing it and you'll keep growing, try to make more video's of a similar subject to the one's that get a lot of views.

your channel is what 2 years old? so it's probably not going to grow a whole lot quicker yet if it hasn't already done so but 50 subs a day is a good indication your growth is growing faster, i'd say in a few more months it will start snowballing even faster, 50 subs a day is what someone with 10000 subs gets so your probably one step ahead and may see 100 subs a day at 7000, most would love that pace so just keep going, another year and you might start looking at it as a real income.[DOUBLEPOST=1479121715,1479121478][/DOUBLEPOST]oh, try make some good one's over 10 minutes, even 10:30
that way you can add another ad' somewhere inside it, usually around 3 minutes is good.
it really makes a difference in revenue, like twice as much per view and that'll give your views more buck for their bang.

Perhaps spruce up your Thumbnails a bit as well.
I mean the images are good but text couldn't hurt ^^

besides that its just a waiting game and ofc advertising/promoting your content here and there!

I woke up one day and said to myself "I have to make this work... I have to". Well, 2 years on it has worked and it is my full time job. You just need to sit down, work out what is making your audience happy and what bring them back... then just keep dishing them up new videos regularly.

The biggest thing that made it work for me, was the fact that I convinced myself it would. At times I felt like I was going insane. I'd go for a walk after a long day editing on the computer and come back home asking myself "am i going crazy? am I ever going to pull this off?".

You probably do have a good channel with good videos which is why your feeling down about it, but to stand out from the rest is the greatest task. In my experience, whoever is prepared to do the most work and out angle all major competitors will make it to the top.

Thanks for you inspiring and motivational message Moto!

You literally described my day! Thanks though, reading stories like that is what drives me forward!

Just wondering what's your channel? And or how many views are you raking a day/month to be able to sustain it as a full-time thing, interested in knowing for myself as well. Thanks!

Great qn, and I'm trying to figure that out too. Growth seems to occur sporadically when a video goes viral and serves as a gateway for the channel. If you have Cards and End Screens all setup, that gateway video drives lots of additional traffic and subs. The qn is, how to make these gateway videos. The best suggestion I have is shadow several popular channels and seo match them, riding on popular trends. Not only will you be in popular verticals, you're more likely to appear in the coveted 'suggested' spots. There are other things you can do to bump up subs and traffic: seo optimized playlists, adwords, social sharing (if you have a built up engaged audience someplace else).[DOUBLEPOST=1479192741,1479192134][/DOUBLEPOST]Had a look at your foam wire video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBehrxsRMHM

That's pretty cool! Check out CrazyRussianHacker and HydraulicPressChannel. Now can you use your wire cutter in a creative unusual way that will appeal to a mass audience? Maybe dress up as a superhero, make two of those things, and go busting stuff up around the house. Or hand 6 different colored soda bottles (coke, fanta, etc) and cut through them, then speed it up on playback. You can have a lot of fun with unique gadgets and stand out, increasing viral potential.

I've been wondering how to progress my channel and take it to the next level too! I'm on 485 subs last time I looked, and I really want to push the envelope and step up my channel to a bigger audience, but I don't know how! You are so beyond lucky to get 50 subs a day, I don't even get one! I'm lucky to get one subscriber per month, I usually lose more then I gain. I'll gain a few then drop again which is really frustrating. What's also interesting is older males subscribe to me but don't usually watch my videos, and young adult females like myself watch me but don't subscribe.
